Helpful Tips to Get the Best Possible Scholarship
Do your research
Research all available scholarships and funding options. Apart from EDHEC programme-specific scholarships, there might be other funding options for your particular situation.
Seek advice
Speak to an experienced admission advisor to get personalised information on available scholarships. Reach out to alumni. They may be able to provide information on scholarship opportunities and can also serve as a reference for your application.
Apply early
Start the application process as early as possible, as this gives you enough time to research the different scholarship options available, gather the necessary materials for your application, and ensure there are still scholarships available.
Demonstrate financial need
Many scholarship programmes consider financial need when making their decisions. Be sure to clearly demonstrate your need for financial assistance in your scholarship application.
Focus on your academic record
Some scholarship programmes might consider your academic performance in previous degrees. If applicable, make sure you have a strong academic record and/or impressive GMAT score to increase your chances of being selected.
Show your leadership potential
There are scholarships that are awarded to individuals who show strong leadership potential. Highlight your past leadership experiences and demonstrate how you plan to use your degree to make a positive impact.
Scholarship Deadlines
Our transparent scholarships are guaranteed for all applications to the Global MBA and/or Executive MBA programmes up to January 31st.
Some scholarship opportunities are limited, so we strongly recommend that you start the application process at least 6 months before your preferred intake date. We will always do our best to assist last-minute applications as we understand that sometimes circumstances change and opportunities arise. Our dedicated Admissions team is on-hand to support you through the process.

Financing Solutions
Financing Solutions
Financing a Global MBA or Executive MBA programme is the first step to achieving your professional ambitions. Participants have several financing options available to them, depending on their personal, professional, and financial situations.
Most candidates finance their GMBA or EMBA with personal savings and/or a government or bank loan secured in their home country, but you should always do your research to understand other financial aid and scholarship options.
France encourages lifelong learning. If you haven’t managed to secure a scholarship, you might be eligible for other funding options through French government schemes.
EDHEC has developed partnerships with a number of leading French banks (CIC, BNP Paribas, La Banque Postale, Caisse d’Épargne, Société Générale, LCL) to offer you tailored support for financing your MBA or EMBA programme. A vast majority of participants take a partial or full loan to finance the cost of the programme.
Thanks to these partnerships, you can benefit from:
- A loan at a preferential rate with a duration of up to 9 years
- A simplified application process for amounts of up to €25,000
- Flexibility and personalised repayment options, such as deferred payments or early payment without penalty.
If it’s difficult for you to obtain a loan from a private bank, you may want to look into Prodigy Finance. They are innovating in borderless finance and credits, making loans available to students for a global education. Their innovative and borderless model assesses you on your earning potential after graduation, not just your current circumstances and credit history. Prodigy Finance mainly funds students from emerging market countries. Learn more on the Prodigy Finance website.
French banking laws do not allow international students to take out a bank loan here in France, so candidates should explore government or bank loans from their home country, as there may be options of advantageous loans for higher education.
EDHEC can offer a tuition fee reduction for EMBA candidates who will personally finance their Executive Education programme:
- Up to 20% discount on the total tuition fee amount that is personally financed (VAT included)
- Up to 10 interest-free instalments of tuition
- “Early-bird” discount for personally financed tuition fees that are received several months prior to the programme’s start date
*Does not apply to Global MBA candidates
Education is a great way for companies to train their future leaders and increase employee retention. Many companies are ready to fully or partially fund their employee’s MBA programmes.
If you plan on pursuing a part-time Executive MBA at EDHEC while continuing to work, you have several options to consider:
- Negotiate with your current employer regarding your expectations of a salary increase following completion of your course.
- Initiate discussions with HR or upper management about the possibility of the company financing or co-financing your EMBA.
If you are a company looking for higher education solutions for your managers and future leaders, contact us.
If you are self-employed with a registered entity in France, as well as living in France, you may be eligible to receive financial aid for your programme by a Training Insurance Fund known in France as the “Fond d’Assurance de Formation” (FAF) which is dependent on the nature of your activity.
You often have to advance the funds to be reimbursed by the corresponding organisation at a later date. These are the Training Insurance Funds available:
- FAFCEA if you are a company director registered in the trade register of Artisans
- AGEFICE if you are a self-employed manager in the trade, industry, and services sectors
- FAF PM if you work in the medical profession
- FIF-PL if you work in the liberal professions
- VIVEA if you are a farmer
If you are an MBA candidate who is employed by a French company, then you may be eligible for financial support through the Compte Personnel de Formation (CPF), which is a credit system financed by employer contributions.
In short, your CPF account is credited annually with a sum that you can access directly from the CPF application’s “mon compte formation”. The majority of EDHEC’s Executive Education programmes, including the Executive MBA, EMBA in Healthcare (HIT), Global MBA and Senior Executive Programmes, are eligible for the CPF aid.
*If your CPF fund does not cover the entirety of the tuition fees, you are able to supplement the amount by charging the rest to your credit card, or by applying for a grant or loan.
If you are working on a French contract and pay taxes in France, or are officially a job seeker (via the Pole Emploi), expenses incurred in obtaining a diploma or qualification can be deducted from your gross salary and wages when you file your tax return. This includes your tuition fees, but also other costs relating to the programme (food, transport, etc.), as well as interest on a loan if you have taken out a loan. To facilitate the process, make sure to keep all the documents and proof of your training and its financing.
